Good News: Free Pizza. Bad News: It Requires a Trip to Chuck E. Cheese

I was allowed to have two birthday parties growing up.

And by two parties I mean, one when I turned 5 and one when I turned 16.

I vividly remember my fifth birthday party being at Chuck E. Cheese.

The intriguingly creepy animatronic rat, or Charles Entertainment Cheese, as I’m sure he prefers to be called, captivated a generation.

Now as I fondly remember playing Skee-Ball, whack-a-mole and fearing for my life in the ball pit, I wonder: What was that purple thing playing the keyboard in the band?

Really, what is he?

But to more pressing matters: free pizza.

You can get a free personal one-topping pizza on your next visit when you sign up for Chuck E. Cheese’s More Cheese Rewards program.

In addition to free pizza, you’ll get a $10 reward for every three visits when you spend over $20 and unspecified treats on your birthday and half-birthday.

Everyone forgets the half-birthday.

And after all that, if you can’t make it to the arcade restaurant, you can now get the pizza — and a goody bag — delivered to your door.
